After Hours Dispatcher

This position oversees all aspects of the after hour on call and logistics process, inclusive of preparing and communicating on call schedules, tracking and entering times into the Kronos timekeeping system.

Essential Duties:

Hours/Coverage:

• Cover on call hours which are Monday through Friday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and every other Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Back up responsibility for day shift dispatch during scheduled time off. Advance notice and scheduling provided.
• Flexibility to work from home or Woodard on site.

Duties:

• Answer phones calls from customers and dispatch crews during designated on call hours
• Responsible for the logistical placement of all service lines nightly by calling, texting, emailing on-call crews for assignments
• Update and communicate the "real time" on-call activity when assigned, via email to all involved parties
• Update and change on-call schedule under guidance of Director of Logistics and Dispatch Manger
• Respond to questions from and coordinate 2nd shift warehouse attendants
• Communicate (email) timely information regarding concerns of customer communication, employee response, or any obstacle preventing Woodard from helping people get back to their lives

Update programs using XactAnalysis regularly to stay in compliance, (i.e. Contractor Connections and Alacrity)

• Complete and accurate transfer of information/jobs at shift change from 2nd shift to 1st shift dispatch
• Collect and update location paperwork on every other Saturday shift
• Update and transfer hours in the Kronos timekeeping system every other Saturday (Emergency Services, Cleaning and Logistics business units)
• Responsible to schedule and prepare for monthly one on one wth direct supervisor and escalate to director as needed
• Responsible to self-report accurate hours daily

Desired Experience and Requirements:

• Experience directing/leading personnel in job assignments.
• Dispatch experience helpful, but not required
• Experience scheduling jobs, shifts, schedules
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to process onboarding process to include background screening and pre-employment drug testing
• Experience using microsoft office
• Able to demonstrate experience organizing chaos; handing many phone calls, understanding the next logical task. Puzzle master.
