Fire Restoration Technician - Contents Mover

We are looking for safety-minded, hardworking individuals to join our Fire Restoration Team as Contents Moving Technicians. As a member of the Fire Restoration Team, you will restore our customers' contents, homes, and businesses to pre-loss condition after being affected by fire and smoke damage. You primary role will be organizing, packing, moving, transporting and storing customer contents from homes to our warehouse facility. You will work Monday - Friday from approximately 7:00 am until 4:30 pm. 

Essential Duties

• Address safety concerns and resolve potential risk factors
• Load and unload equipment, furniture and other items to our warehouse and customers' homes
• Carry heavy items long distances and up/down stairways
• Work with team members to ensure items are moved with no damage 
• Drive a box truck and fork-lift safely
• Inspect completed work and work in progress
• Assist with other Fire Restoration duties such as detail cleaning of items, content inventory and manipulation, tracking paperwork, and daily facility and vehicle maintenance
• Participate in our on-call program which includes responding to emergency work after hours and on the weekend on a rotating basis.

Requirements:

• Experience working with moving tools and equipment
• Experience in working in a customer focused fast paced environment
• Restoration or professional moving experience ideal, but not required
• Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs alone and more than 100 lbs with another person
• Ability to complete the pre-employment process to include background check and drug screening.
