Remodeler Apprentice - Construction
Woodard is searching for a safety minded, quick thinking, hardworking individual that is comfortable working with hand tools and power tools to join our Construction Team! The Remodeler Apprentice will assist the construction tradesmen (Laborers, Remodelers, Carpenters) in restoring homes and businesses to their pre-loss conditions. The Remodeler Apprentice will learn and master new skills and gain invaluable experience to become a skilled tradesman.
What You'll Do:
- Erect scaffolding and/or ladders
- Follow instructions from supervisor and Project Managers
- Perform a variety of production tasks on jobsites, including jobsite cleaning
- Hang and repair drywall; mud and tape
- Prepare painting surfaces, remove fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers
- Apply paint and finishes to various surfaces
- Measure, cut, and install various fixtures and millwork for doors, windows, cabinets, crown, baseboard, etc.
- Install add-ons such as doorknobs, hinges, and handles onto finished structures.
- Respond during on-call rotation and emergency rushes
What It Takes:
- 1+ year with hand tools
- 1+ year industry, preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Own essential tools
- Current, valid Driver's License
- Ability to obtain and maintain Class E Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
